Acetone precipitation (from Lujian Liao)

Add 4x volume of –20 ºC acetone to ice-cold sample solution, e.g. 800 ul acetone + 200 ul sample, mix well and keep at –20 ºC for at least 30 min. spin in a refrigerated microfuge at top speed for 20 min. remove sup, air dry pellet.

1 volume of sample + 6 volume of acetone (e.g. 200 ul sample + 1.2 ml acetone) according to Xu et al. Rapid Commun. Mass Spectrom. 2005; 19:2131-2136
