Autosampler Errors

A common error that occurs while running samples on LTQ1 (the RCADIA stage) is due to "Mechanical Failure" by the Autosampler. This error usually occurs when transitioning from one step to another.

If this occurs there are two solutions:

Temporary (Via remote access):

a) Stop LTQTune and the pump. Restart Xcalibur and then your sequence. Carefully monitor your run because it is likely it will happen again.

b) When this error occurs, the analysis will be paused. Unpause it and the run will start up again.

Longterm: Restart everything (the PC, MS, HPLC, and AS). Once the computer has rebooted, make sure to test the AS via direct control. Make it "Position Arm to Access Tray" and then "Set to Home Position." Then restart your run.
